About this simulation
The Sun, the eight planets, Pluto and seven major moons, integrated in C with the velocity Verlet method at a one-hour time step over 114 years. Initial positions and velocities come from NASA JPL ephemerides; everything after that is pure Newtonian gravity between all 17 bodies.
Positions are shown relative to the Sun in the invariable plane of the solar system. Bodies are drawn at true scale; zoom in to see their spheres, or follow a planet to watch its moons.
